Care Instructions

Proper care helps your S2threads apparel look great and last longer. Follow these general tips for our printed and embroidered garments.

General Care for Printed Apparel

(Screen print, DTF/DTG, or vinyl prints)

To help preserve your design:

• Wash Inside Out
  Turn garments inside out before washing to protect the printed area.
• Cold Water Wash
  Use cold water on a gentle cycle to help prevent fading and shrinking.
• Mild Detergent
  Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
• Avoid Fabric Softeners on Prints
  Fabric softeners can sometimes affect the print over time—use sparingly or avoid if possible.
• Hang Dry or Low Heat
• Best: Hang dry or lay flat to dry.
• If you use a dryer, tumble dry on low heat. High heat can damage or crack prints over time.
• Do Not Iron Directly on the Design
  If ironing is needed, turn the garment inside out or place a cloth over the design. Never iron directly on printed areas.

Care for Embroidered Apparel

Embroidered items are durable but still need some love:

• Wash Cold, Gentle Cycle
  Turn inside out and wash on a gentle, cold cycle.
• Avoid Bleach
  Bleach and harsh detergents can weaken embroidery threads and fade colors.
• Drying
  Hang dry or tumble dry on low heat. High heat can cause shrinkage and affect the embroidery tension.
• Ironing
  If ironing is needed:
• Turn the garment inside out, or
• Place a thin cloth over the embroidery and use a low to medium heat setting.

Hoodies & Sweatshirts

• Wash Inside Out in Cold Water
  Helps reduce pilling and protect prints/embroidery.
• Avoid Overloading the Washer
  Give hoodies enough space in the wash to move freely and clean properly.
• Dry on Low or Hang Dry
  High heat can cause shrinkage; low heat or hang dry is best.

Storing Your Apparel

• Store in a cool, dry place.
• Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight, which can fade colors over time.
• Hanging is fine for most items; heavier hoodies can be folded to avoid stretching the shoulders.

Extra Tips

• Wash similar colors together to prevent color transfer.
