Custom Artwork & Design Guidelines

Many of our products at S2threads are custom-made based on designs you provide. These Custom Artwork & Design Guidelines explain what we can and cannot print, how the process works, and your responsibilities when submitting artwork.

By submitting artwork or designs to S2threads, you agree to these Guidelines.

1. Ownership & Rights

When you upload or submit artwork, images, logos, text, or other content (“Artwork”):

  • You confirm that:
    • You own the Artwork or have permission from the owner to use it.
    • You have the right to grant S2threads the permissions needed to produce your custom product.
  • You agree that your Artwork:
    • Does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
    • Does not violate any law or regulation.

We may request confirmation or proof of your rights if there is any concern.

2. Prohibited Content

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order that includes Artwork we believe:

  • Infringes on third-party intellectual property (e.g., famous logos, characters, or designs without permission).
  • Contains hateful, harassing, or threatening content targeting any person or group.
  • Promotes violence, illegal activity, or discrimination.
  • Contains sexually explicit or highly graphic content inappropriate for our brand.
  • Is defamatory or intended to harm the reputation of others.

If we determine that your design violates these guidelines, we may:

  • Refuse or cancel your order, and
  • Contact you to discuss alternative options.

3. File Quality & Artwork Requirements

To achieve the best results, we recommend:

  • High-resolution files (e.g., 300 DPI or vector format when possible).
  • Accepted formats (for example: PNG, JPG, PDF, SVG, AI – adjust to whatever you’ll actually accept).
  • Transparent backgrounds for logos where desired.

If your file quality is low:

  • We may notify you that the Artwork may print with visible pixelation or blur, or
  • We may ask you to submit a higher-resolution file.

We are not responsible for poor print quality caused by low-quality or unsuitable files provided by the customer.

4. Layout, Placement & Adjustments

To ensure your design prints correctly and looks good on the final product:

  • We may make minor adjustments to your Artwork, such as:
    • Resizing
    • Centering
    • Slight repositioning
  • These adjustments are solely to align your design with the product’s printable area and maintain quality.

Any significant changes (e.g., altering text or major elements) will be reflected in the mockup we send for your approval.

5. Mockups & Final Approval

Before production:

  • We will provide you with a digital mockup showing how your Artwork will appear on the product.
  • You are responsible for carefully reviewing:
    • Spelling and text
    • Placement and alignment
    • Colors (with the understanding that they may vary slightly in print)

You may request changes before approving the mockup.

Once you approve the mockup in writing (for example, via email reply):

  • Your approval confirms that the design details, spelling, and placement are correct.
  • Your order moves into production, and:
    • No further changes can be made
    • Any production done in accordance with the approved mockup is considered final

6. Color & Print Variations

Please note:

  • Colors shown on your screen may differ slightly from printed colors due to:
    • Monitor settings
    • Printing methods
    • Fabric/material differences

Minor variations in color and placement are normal and are not considered defects.

If you believe there is a significant issue, please contact us at support@s2threads.com with photos so we can review.

7. Use of Your Designs for Marketing (Optional & Customizable)

With your consent, we may occasionally:

  • Feature your custom products in our portfolio, social media, website gallery, or marketing materials.

We will not claim ownership of your Artwork and will not resell your design as a standalone design without your permission.

If you do not want your designs featured publicly, just let us know at support@s2threads.com.
